The Lakes of Northville
About Us
Welcome to the beautiful Lakes of Northville. Our 11 acres of natural, wooded commons area provide walking, hiking and play opportunities for the whole family. Pristine Waterford Pond is host to Blue Heron, Snowy Egrets, Swan, Hooded Mergansers, ducks and several types of fish. We even spot Bald Eagles.
We value our strong sense of community and dedication to family. Our annual Summer Picnic and our Light Up the Lakes winter stroll and competition are known throughout Northville. Come see the natural beauty and welcoming atmosphere of the Lakes of Northville for yourself.

Architectural and design tips to keep older subdivisions looking current and increase property values. Mailboxes and garage doors make a critical first impression.
Put your mailbox on the OUTSIDE edge of your driveway if possible, so it doesn't compete with your front door for attention. Avoid elaborate landscaping and flowers around your mailbox to minimize its impact. Your front door should be the focal point rather than your mailbox.
Newer subdivisions often put the garage at the side of the house so the door is not visible from the front. In older subs like ours, we can minimize our front garage doors by painting them the darker of the home's trim colors, and keeping them closed when possible.

Got Salt?
Info about plowing and salting in our sub . . .
- Northville Township, like other MI townships, does not maintain our roads.
- Major township roads are plowed and salted by Wayne County, but they have never maintained our subdivision streets.
- Our Homeowners Association began plowing and treating entrances and intersections for ice in 1986. Over the years coverage has expanded so that we now salt all roads.
- Our contractor plows when snow accumulations are over 1.5", then follows with a salt application.
- Plowing does not begin until the snow stops falling. Our contractor has numerous clients, but they commit to begin plowing within 6 hours of the end of the snowfall.
- Our contractor clears our streets of snow for vehicular traffic. They do not clear the ends of driveways, in front of mailboxes or along the curb.
- To protect against plow damage, stake the edges of your yard.
